NASA Langley Research Center is offering license rights to commercial entities interested in developing, manufacturing, and marketing a novel deployable and stowable mechanical device designed to fill the cavity behind the leading-edge slat of aircraft wings when extended during landing. This technology addresses the issue of aerodynamic flow over unfilled cavities, which generates significant aeroacoustic noise, notably from leading-edge slat structures used for high lift. The innovative slat-cove filler device demonstrated through experimental and computational studies to substantially reduce noise, features a simple structural concept that autonomously achieves the desired deployed shape and ensures a clean cruise configuration with minimal weight impact on the aircraft. The license rights may be granted on an exclusive or nonexclusive basis, potentially limited to specific fields of use. NASA Langley is actively seeking development partners and potential licensees and is soliciting expressions of interest through Research Triangle International. Responses will help NASA assess market interest and guide future licensing opportunities, though no direct procurement is expected from this solicitation. Interested parties are encouraged to contact the designated representative with their company information, referencing the Federal Business Opportunity notice.

Full Description

NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, VA solicits interest from companiesinterested in obtaining license rights to commercialize, manufacture and market thefollowing technology. License rights may be issued on an exclusive or nonexclusive basisand may include specific fields of use. THE TECHNOLOGY: NASA Langley offers you a deployable and stowable mechanical design for filling thecavity behind the leading-edge slat (i.e., slat cove), when it is extended upon landingan aircraft. Aerodynamic flow over an unfilled cavity typically exhibits stronglyunsteady behavior that is a source of aeroacoustic noise. Conventional leading-edge slatdevices for high lift are a good example of such geometric and flow conditions and are aprominent source of airframe noise. Experimental and computational results have shownthat a slat-cove filler device could significantly reduce the noise produced by slatstructures. The proposed structural concept is simple and will enable autonomousachievement of the desired deployed shape. The design will facilitate a clean cruiseconfiguration with minimal weight addition to the aircraft. NASA is seeking developmentpartners and potential licensees. To express interest in this opportunity, please respond to Sean Sullivan, ResearchTriangle International (RTI), at: NASA Langley Research Center, Strategic RelationshipsOffice (SRSO), 17 West Taylor St., Mail Stop 218, Building 1212, Room 110 Hampton,Virginia, E-mail: contact@example.gov, or phone: +1 (555) 000-0000. Please indicate thedate and title of the FBO notice and include your company and contact information.RTI is responsible for aggregating and acknowledging all responses. These responses areprovided to members of NASA Langleys Innovative Partnerships Office within the SRO forthe purpose of promoting public awareness of our technology products, and conductingpreliminary market research to determine public interest in and potential for futurelicensing opportunities. If direct licensing interest results from this posting, SRO willfollow the formal licensing process of posting in the Federal Register as required. Nofollow-on procurement is expected to result from responses to this Notice.

Enabling Technology for Future Missions
Solicitation # 9F063-20260085
The Canadian Space Agency (CSA) is soliciting proposals under the Space Technology Development Program (STDP) to develop and advance one to three priority technologies intended to reduce technical uncertainties for future Canadian space missions. This fixed-price procurement focuses on increasing Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) in accordance with CSA-ST-GDL-0001 Revision A guidelines. The identified priority technologies include a lightweight athermal reflecting telescope for CubeSats, readout electronics for large mosaic focal plane arrays, and technologies for the Ground Snow Mass Mission, with maximum funding per contract ranging from 1 million to 2 million Canadian dollars. The project is expected to span 16 months, structured around five key milestones: a kick-off meeting, preliminary design review, detailed design review and work authorization meeting, test readiness review, and a final review meeting. Selection is based on the highest combined rating of technical merit (60%) and price (40%), with additional points available for Indigenous considerations. The contract requires strict adherence to security protocols, including Protected B and Reliability Status, and mandates the use of the Information Sharing with External Partners portal for sensitive data transfers. Performance is subject to rigorous inspection and acceptance processes for both hardware and software, including a 90-day warranty period for custom software.

Systèmes De Microréacteur Lunaire Canadien
Solicitation # 9F055- 20260146
The Canadian Space Agency (CSA) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) under solicitation number 9F055-20260146 to identify Canadian technologies and capabilities relevant to lunar microreactors and enabling technologies. This initiative seeks to gather evidence-based data on Canada's existing strengths, technology maturity, supply chains, and development pathways to inform future space exploration programs and procurement strategies. The CSA is interested in a wide range of contributions, from complete systems and subsystems to specialized research and consortium roles, and is not requiring a single entity to deliver an end-to-end system. Notional performance parameters of interest include a net continuous electric power of approximately 20-80 kWe and an operational life of 10 years or more. This RFI is not a bid solicitation and will not result in the award of a contract, grant, or funding agreement. Responses are not scored for supplier selection but are used to map the domestic landscape. Interested parties from industry, academia, and research institutions must submit their responses by November 23, 2026. Submissions should follow the recommended format in Annex A and utilize the Capability Matrix and Technology Readiness Level references provided in the attachments. All responses must be unclassified, and any proprietary information must be clearly marked. The CSA emphasizes that future activities must prioritize safety, security, environmental protection, and non-proliferation in accordance with the Nuclear Safety and Control Act and other applicable laws.

Commercial Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Destination Contract (CLDC) Technical Library
Solicitation # 80JSC025_CLDC_TECH_LIBRARY
The Commercial Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Destination Contract (CLDC) Technical Library, managed by the NASA Johnson Space Center, serves as a centralized repository of technical standards, plans, and guidelines for potential offerors. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to support the development of private LEO space destinations and supporting systems as NASA prepares for the retirement of the International Space Station. The library provides a series of data drops containing both controlled and uncontrolled technical data, including standards for docking systems, payload interfaces, and crew health operations. It also outlines specific NASA center capabilities and high-value engineering products available to industry partners to reduce technical and schedule risks. It is important to note that this activity is a special notice and does not constitute a Request for Proposals, Invitation for Bid, or Request for Quotation. No proposals are to be submitted in response to this notice, and it does not represent a commitment by the government to enter into a contract. Access to export-controlled content requires the submission of a specific request form and compliance with U.S. export regulations, including the implementation of Technology Transfer Control Plans and Non-Disclosure Agreements for foreign nationals. The library is intended to keep industry updated on current NASA technical standards in anticipation of future FAR-based acquisitions.
