NASA Langley Research Center is inviting companies to inquire about obtaining license rights to commercialize, manufacture, and market a patented photogrammetric technology designed for calculating the relative orientation between two rigid bodies. This patented method involves software developed in LabVIEW and MATLAB that processes photogrammetric data from a multi-camera system to precisely determine the six degrees of freedom (6-DOF) position and rotation of an object. The setup requires multiple cameras and photogrammetric targets fixed on the two bodies, with at least five targets visible to the cameras at any time to achieve accurate measurements. The system can be adapted with cameras facing either inward toward an object or outward toward the environment, with accuracy improving as more cameras and targets are used. Prior calibration of cameras and targets is necessary before image capture, and the equipment includes heterogeneous cameras, targets, a data storage device, and a processing computer. The technology has broad applications including satellite-based star tracking, crash dynamics analysis, vehicle separation tests, computer-assisted surgery, ballistics testing, terrestrial surveying, and wind tunnel testing. NASA is offering licenses on an exclusive or nonexclusive basis with no funding provided. Interested parties are encouraged to respond via email with their contact information, company background, and interest in the technology. This opportunity seeks to gauge public interest and collect market research, with any formal license offerings to follow a federal registration process. There is no expectation of follow-up procurement based on inquiries.

Full Description

NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, VA solicits inquiries from companies interested in obtaining license rights to commercialize, manufacture and market the following technology. License rights may be issued on an exclusive or nonexclusive basis and may include specific fields of use. NASA provides no funding in conjunction with these potential licenses. THE TECHNOLOGY: Scientists at NASA Langley Research Center have developed U.S. patent 8,655,094, which uses a photogrammetry algorithm to calculate the relative orientation between two rigid bodies. The software, written in LabVIEW and MATLAB, quantitatively analyzes the photogrammetric data collected from the camera system to determine the 6-DOF position and rotation of the observed object. The system comprises an arrangement of arbitrarily placed cameras, rigidly fixed on one body, and a collection of photogrammetric targets, rigidly fixed on the second body. The cameras can be either placed on rigidly fixed objects surrounding the second body (facing inwards), or can be placed on an object directed towards the surrounding environment (facing outwards). At any given point in time, the cameras must capture at least five non-collinear targets. The 6-DOF accuracy increases as additional cameras and targets are used. The equipment requirements include a set of heterogeneous cameras, a collection of photogrammetric targets, a data storage device, and a processing PC. Camera calibration and initial target measurements are required prior to image capture. Applications include satellite-based star tracking, crash dynamics, vehicle separation tests, computer-assisted surgery, ballistics testing, terrestrial surveying, and wind tunnel testing. To express interest in this opportunity, please respond to contact@example.gov with the title of this Technology Transfer Opportunity as listed in this FBO notice and your preferred contact information. Please also provide the nature of your interest in the technology along with a brief background of your company. For more information about licensing other NASA-developed technologies, please visit the NASA Technology Transfer Portal at http://technology.nasa.gov/ . These responses are provided to members of NASA Langleys Office of Strategic Analysis and Business Development OSACB for the purpose of promoting public awareness of NASA-developed technology products, and conducting preliminary market research to determine public interest in and potential for future licensing opportunities. If direct licensing interest results from this posting, OSACB will follow the required formal licensing process of posting in the Federal Register. No follow-on procurement is expected to result from responses to this Notice.

Enabling Technology for Future Missions
Solicitation # 9F063-20260085
The Canadian Space Agency (CSA) is soliciting proposals under the Space Technology Development Program (STDP) to develop and advance one to three priority technologies intended to reduce technical uncertainties for future Canadian space missions. This fixed-price procurement focuses on increasing Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) in accordance with CSA-ST-GDL-0001 Revision A guidelines. The identified priority technologies include a lightweight athermal reflecting telescope for CubeSats, readout electronics for large mosaic focal plane arrays, and technologies for the Ground Snow Mass Mission, with maximum funding per contract ranging from 1 million to 2 million Canadian dollars. The project is expected to span 16 months, structured around five key milestones: a kick-off meeting, preliminary design review, detailed design review and work authorization meeting, test readiness review, and a final review meeting. Selection is based on the highest combined rating of technical merit (60%) and price (40%), with additional points available for Indigenous considerations. The contract requires strict adherence to security protocols, including Protected B and Reliability Status, and mandates the use of the Information Sharing with External Partners portal for sensitive data transfers. Performance is subject to rigorous inspection and acceptance processes for both hardware and software, including a 90-day warranty period for custom software.

Expression of interest: Small-satellite missions sandpit
Solicitation # 206083
UK Research and Innovation is seeking expressions of interest for a small-satellite missions sandpit designed to bring together approximately 30 researchers and innovators from diverse disciplines. The goal is to co-develop ambitious, challenge-led small-satellite mission concepts focusing on innovative sensors, data streams, and cross-sector enabling technologies to enhance sovereign capability, address national security and societal challenges, and support economic growth. The activity consists of six sessions held between January 26 and February 11, 2027, utilizing a combination of online sessions and a two-day residential event. Total program funding is listed at 1,870,000, with the objective of developing concepts for pump-priming research grants in 2027/2028. Selection of participants is based on core assessment questions focusing on skills and potential contributions rather than track record, with additional consideration given to geographic diversity across all UK regions. Applicants must apply through an Expression of Interest stage, and invited applicants will use the Resume for Research and Innovation format. Mandatory attendance at all sessions is required, with travel and subsistence costs reimbursed and accommodation provided for overnight stays. The program is managed by the UKRI Space Programme team, with the response deadline for the solicitation set for November 25, 2026.

Commercial Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Destination Contract (CLDC) Technical Library
Solicitation # 80JSC025_CLDC_TECH_LIBRARY
The Commercial Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Destination Contract (CLDC) Technical Library, managed by the NASA Johnson Space Center, serves as a centralized repository of technical standards, plans, and guidelines for potential offerors. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to support the development of private LEO space destinations and supporting systems as NASA prepares for the retirement of the International Space Station. The library provides a series of data drops containing both controlled and uncontrolled technical data, including standards for docking systems, payload interfaces, and crew health operations. It also outlines specific NASA center capabilities and high-value engineering products available to industry partners to reduce technical and schedule risks. It is important to note that this activity is a special notice and does not constitute a Request for Proposals, Invitation for Bid, or Request for Quotation. No proposals are to be submitted in response to this notice, and it does not represent a commitment by the government to enter into a contract. Access to export-controlled content requires the submission of a specific request form and compliance with U.S. export regulations, including the implementation of Technology Transfer Control Plans and Non-Disclosure Agreements for foreign nationals. The library is intended to keep industry updated on current NASA technical standards in anticipation of future FAR-based acquisitions.
