A--Additional Work under Delphinus Contract N00167-02-D-0021

The Department of Defense's Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) intends to issue a modification increasing the scope of an existing contract (No.N00167-02-D-0021) to replace Oxygen Breathing Apparatus stations with updated Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) equipment and components aboard numerous ships and submarines. This comprehensive task involves designing, planning, and installing SCBA systems across multiple vessel classes, requiring specialized expertise in SCBA design, shipboard high-pressure components, and safety standards. Quality Plans must be established and maintained throughout the process, which also includes thorough documentation of all work completed. The project will be executed via Delivery Orders over approximately two years, beginning in September 2004 and concluding no later than June 2007. The scope demands facilities and labor capable of performing tasks such as equipment removal, installation, and system integration, along with travel both within the United States and overseas to support the widespread fleet. The effort is being managed by NSWCCD in Bethesda, MD, under the office overseeing the work's coordination and contract administration.
