A -- Dynamometer (Overhaul)

The Government intends to contract on a SOLE SOURCE basis, under the Authority of FAR Part 13, with HYDRA-BRAKE, DBA Industrial Engineering Company, at SWEDESBORO, NEW JERSEY 08085 to overhaul one (1) Dynamometer Model Number C9510-1 that was originally manufactured by Industrial Engineering 27 years prior. The Dynamometer is used for running the T-63 engine lubricant testing to evaluate associated engine lubricants. Hydra-Brake (Industrial Engineering), as the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), maintains the proprietary data required to perform repairs and overhaul on this equipment. This requirement is urgent as failure of this dynamometer can lead to a catastrophic engine failure, therefore, proper dynamometer overhaul maintenance is critical. This effort will include inspection and overhaul of typical wear parts such as bearings and seals, and inspection and recommendation for other replacement parts if found needed to return the equipment to like new condition. The Federal Supply Code for this procurement is 3829 and North American Industry Classification System is 334519. No Request for Proposal (RFP) is available for competitive bidding; however, interested parties may submit a statement of capability for satisfying this requirement, to include descriptive literature, by the closing date of this announcement to the contact person listed in this advertisement.
