A--Engineering services and equipment to support demonstrations and evaluations of Landing Period Designator (LPD)

Negotiations are anticipated to be conducted with Anteon Corporation located at 2231 Crystal Drive, Suite 600, Arlington, VA 22202 for engineering services and equipment to support demonstrations and evaluations of the Anteon Landing Period Designator (LPD) shipboard landing aid for potential integration with ship-based rotary-wing aircraft, including both manned aircraft and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV). Numbered Note 22 applies to the extent that the proposed action is for support services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. The development of the LPD system was supported by the Office of Naval Research. The underlying methodology, unique to Anteon, is based on a deck energy index with minimum rise times based on ship seakeeping characteristics and aircraft deck motion limits. The resultant contract will have a base period of 12 months with 2 six-month options to be exercised on the ba! sis of the outcome of the base period. The NAICS code that applies to this procurement is 541330. The FSC code that applies to this procurement is AC34.
