The Naval Sea Systems Command plans to award a cost plus fixed fee contract to Invocon Inc. for engineering services in support of the Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) Program. Invocon is responsible for supporting the Aegis BMD Flight Mission-7 by providing contractor-owned support hardware, including Target Data Acquisition System (TDAS) Simulators, a TDAS qualification unit, and Ground Receiving Units (GRUs). As the original designer of the TDAS electronics instrumentation system, which has been successfully used in previous missions FM-5 and FM-6, Invocon is uniquely qualified to provide the necessary expertise and hardware for FM-7 and subsequently FM-10. The contract's performance period is set to begin upon award and will run for twelve months, with an option to extend for an additional twelve months to support the FM-10 mission. This procurement is conducted under a justification for other than full and open competition based on the fact that Invocon is the only responsible source capable of fulfilling the agency’s requirements, given their proprietary knowledge of the TDAS system. Interested companies seeking subcontracting opportunities are advised to contact Invocon directly. The contract is posted on both the Federal Business Opportunities and Navy Electronic Commerce Online platforms to ensure continued accessibility of the solicitation information.
