A--RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT (PROCUREMENTS)

The Naval Sea Systems Command plans to establish a Basic Ordering Agreement with Northrop Grumman Corporation, Electronic Systems, to support the Advanced SEAL Delivery System program. The contract will be a combination of cost-plus-fixed-fee and firm-fixed prices, with an ordering period of five years and an estimated ceiling of $40,375,000. Under this agreement, Northrop Grumman will provide approximately 600,000 man-hours of follow-on services, including engineering and design, overhaul and repair inspection, alterations, modifications, repairs, and integrated logistics support. Additionally, the contractor will supply spare parts and materials needed for upgrades and engineering changes. Northrop Grumman is uniquely qualified for this work due to its comprehensive knowledge of the ASDS design and hardware, making it the sole source capable of meeting the program requirements efficiently and effectively. The agreement is expected to result in about 75 individual orders over the duration of the contract. This procurement supports ongoing research and development procurements related to the ASDS program, ensuring continued operational readiness and technological advancement.
