Full Description

Engineering and analytical expertise to support research and development, Total Ship System Engineering and Combat System Engineering initiatives for the introduction of advanced technology into advanced combat systems and for the modernization of current systems. Work areas include: Aegis Combat System Engineering, Advanced Ship and Combat System Development, Operations/Force Analysis, Aegis Combat Direction System Support, Navy Theater Ballistic Missile Defense, System Analysis, Ship Integration, Modernization, Combat Systems Sites Engineering and Analysis Support, Modeling and Simulation, and Open Architecture. An award term contract is anticipated with a total performance period of approximately seven (7) years including approximately 2.5 years of award term. The estimated technical effort for the initial period (Jan - Sep 2004) is 54 manyears and the estimated technical e ffort for total effort (including award terms) is 566 manyears. Solicitation to be issued in the spring of 2003 with proposals due approximately 60 days after issue. This is a follow-on to contract N00178-98-C-2006 with Planning Consultants, Inc., 600 Lynnhaven Parkway, Virginia Beach, VA 23452. A pre-solicitation conference will be considered if potential offerors identify specific information and questions that need to be addressed.
