The Naval Sea Systems Command plans to modify contract N00024-03-C-6207 with Raytheon Company, which originally covers the development, engineering, technical services, and production of the CCS MK2 Combat Control System. This modification involves a cost-plus-incentive-fee/cost-plus-award-fee structure to procure an additional 309,820 man-hours of systems engineering and technical services. These efforts will support the development of the CCS MK2 Block 1C ECP004 (AN/BYG-1) Mod 6 variant, intended for installation on Royal Australian Navy submarine platforms and shore facilities. Raytheon, as the original designer, developer, and producer of this complex system, is uniquely qualified to provide the specialized support needed to meet the government’s requirements efficiently. The original contract spans from December 13, 2002, through December 31, 2003, with four available options extending performance until December 31, 2007. This modification reflects the government's ongoing commitment to enhancing and supporting advanced combat control systems for allied naval forces, specifically the Royal Australian Navy. The announcement serves more as an informational update on intended contract actions rather than an immediate solicitation or procurement.
