AMENDMENT # 1 - Pre-solicitation Number W81XWH-12-T-0456 is hereby amended to correct the title of this announcement. Study # 3 should read: "LASV Natural History instead of LASSA Natural History". Complete Request for Quotes (RFQ) is availabe through Soliciation Number W81XWH-12-T-0456A. There are no other changes to this soliciation. The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activities (USAMRAA) has a requirement for the contractor to perform flow cytometry analytical services under four (4) studies: Ebola Natural History Study; Marburg Serial Sampling Study; LASSA Natural History and LASSA Serial Sampling. The overall objective of this proposal is to validate animal models of filovirus and arenavirus infection. This PWS concerns the analysis of flow cytometry data collected during a series of different experiments designed to validate non-human primates as accurate models for human filoviral and arenaviral diseases. This data will need to be analyzed and delivered to the United States Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) in accordance with the requirements stated in the Performance Work Statement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 541711 - Research and Development in Biotechnology, with a Small Business Size Standard of 500 employees. This solicitation is unrestricted. The solicitation document and incorporated clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular Number 05-60. The Government contemplates award of a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) purchase order with a period of performance of three (3) months. A Request for Quotation (RFQ) is anticipated to be available immediately. The RFQ will be issued utilizing FAR Part 12.603 - Streamlined solicitation for Commercial Items. The competitive solicitation, solicitation amendments, and all questions and answers related to this procurement will only be made available via the Internet at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Potential offerors are encouraged to monitor www.fedbizopps.gov periodically to determine when the RFQ has been posted. All responsible sources may submit a quotation in response to the RFQ after it is posted. Quotations will be due no later than ten (10) business days after RFQ is release unless the RFQ is amended to extend the due date for quotations.
