The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) is planning to procure additional research and development services on a sole source basis from Anteon Corporation. This effort represents follow-on work to previous R&D conducted under a competitively awarded contract focused on developing flexible, affordable, and innovative torpedo signal processing controls. The original contract was initiated under a broad agency announcement in 2002, with Phase II activities intended to extend the work contingent upon successful Phase I outcomes. The current follow-on scope includes further algorithm development, integration of models, and processor self-assessments, amounting to roughly 4,000 man-hours with an estimated value of approximately $470,000. This procurement is designed to advance and refine the torpedo advanced processor capabilities, building upon the technical promise demonstrated in the earlier phase. While the contract is being awarded without competitive bidding, NAVSEA is sharing this information to encourage potential subcontracting opportunities. Interested firms should engage directly with Anteon Corporation for subcontracting possibilities. The efforts support ongoing innovation in naval torpedo systems, ensuring continuous improvement in control technology and overall performance.
