AI Contract Overview

This contract, issued by the Department of Defense Strategic Systems Programs, involves the design evaluation, updating, and qualification of the Acromag Module and High Voltage Relay Board. For the Acromag Module, the contractor is responsible for updating drawings to include alternate parts and performing qualifications by reusing the existing DIO qualifications and acceptance test plans. Because the DIO module is a nuclear safety involved configuration, strict adherence to these qualification efforts is required. Additionally, the contractor will develop a TIB relay board to serve as a form fit function replacement for the current commercial off the shelf PCB. This process involves reusing relays and ensuring there is no impact on current TIB wiring or mechanical design. GDMS will handle the design evaluation and qualification, while PCB acceptance will be verified via bed of nails or flying probe testing at the vendor, eliminating the need for in-house acceptance test development. The relay board is also designated as a nuclear safety involved configuration item.
