SYNOPSIS:

This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought synopsis only. This is NOT a request for proposals and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract. The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to gain knowledge of commercially available products that may be of interest to the United States Coast Guard (USCG).

The USCG Aviation Logistics Center is conducting market research to determine repair/overhaul sources described as follows:

BACKGROUND:

The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) operates eighteen (18) HC-144 Maritime Patrol Aircraft, as well as fourteen (14) HC-27J aircraft. These Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA) are operated differently from general aviation in support of USCG search and rescue missions, as well as surveillance and reconnaissance missions. The USCG HC-144 and HC-27J missions require frequent operation at lower altitudes and in salt-laden environments. These environments accelerate corrosion on airframe structures, engines and components of the aircraft. The aircraft and its components are inspected by USCG personnel In Accordance With (IAW) the Original Equipment Manufacturer’s (OEM) periodic requirements and in conjunction with the USCG's specialized Asset Computerized Maintenance System (ACMS). The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to gain knowledge of any commercially available repair and overhaul vendors that may be of interest to the United States Coast Guard (USCG). This notice is to assist the USCG in determining the potential sources capable of repair and overhaul services for the items listed below. The Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) is Moog Wolverhampton Limited.  All components are required to be repaired and/or overhauled IAW OEM Specifications to include the latest OEM Revisions, Updates, and Service Bulletins.

Insert "70Z03827IW0000001 Response" in the subject line of the email.

Solicitation 70Z03827QL0000005 is a request for quotations for deposit-level paint services to support HC-144 aircraft and other USCG airframes. The Department of Homeland Security, through the Aviation Logistics Center, seeks an FAA certified 145 center with onsite de-paint and paint facilities to perform scuffing, sanding, de-painting, and external painting. The resulting award will be a Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery requirements contract consisting of a one-year base period and four one-year option periods, with a total duration not to exceed five years.
