ADA Shower

The Choctaw Nation Housing Authority is soliciting bids for an ADA shower and bathroom renovation at a residence located at 348 Foxtail Pine Trail, Ringold, OK 74754. The scope of work includes the removal and replacement of the existing tub and shower with a low entry shower base and surround using Swan-Stone or a comparable material with a minimum thickness of 1/4 inch; FRP is explicitly prohibited. The project requires the installation of a Delta or comparable mixing valve and handle, two ADA grab bars, a portable seat, and an adjustable height handheld shower faucet with a separate guide rod. Additionally, the contractor must install a new Comfort height ADA toilet with all necessary new hardware and shut-off valves. All work must meet or exceed 2019 IRC standards, and the contractor is responsible for repairing all affected drywall, trim, flooring, and paint, as well as managing all permits, line locates, waste removal, and yard restoration to mowing condition. This solicitation is subject to Indian Preference, providing priority to Indian organizations and Indian-Owned economic enterprises. Bids must be submitted exclusively through the Housing Bid Board by 4:30 p.m. on the deadline of November 9, 2026, and must be itemized and include a price expiration date to be considered valid. Prospective contractors are required to visit the project site before bidding, as change orders for conditions identifiable during a site visit will not be approved. Davis Bacon rules apply to this federally funded project if the cost is $2,000 or above. Project administration is managed by Case Manager Jessica Kelley and Inspector Colby Raper, with an estimated award date of November 30, 2026.
