The Georgia Department of Health (DPH) is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a single qualified Supplier who will provide an AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) service to DPH.
The Ryan White Comprehensive AIDS Resources Emergency Act is a Federal legislation that addresses the unmet health needs of Persons Living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) by funding primary health care and support services that enhance access to and retention in care. First enacted by Congress in 1990, it was amended and reauthorized in 1996, 2000, 2006 and 2009.
The Supplier shall process Drug Claims equally and uniformly for all Contracted Pharmacies to avoid duplication of effort and reduce administrative overhead. This eRFP solicits detailed proposal requirements, defines minimum service requirements, and outlines the States process for evaluating proposals and selecting a Supplier to serve as the single PBM. DPH seeks to contract for the needed services and to give all qualified businesses, including those that are owned by minorities, women, persons with disabilities, veterans, and small business enterprises, the opportunity to do business with the State.
