Aggregates

The North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) is soliciting bids under solicitation number 26-190-B to establish an annual contract for the delivery of various aggregates, including cushion sand, pea gravel, mortar sand, sandy loam, gabion stone, crushed concrete, and decomposed granite. These materials are to be delivered F.O.B. destination to NTMWD facilities or project sites within a ten-mile radius of designated locations. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder who has been in the aggregate delivery business for at least one year and can provide a minimum of 500 tons of material per order. Standard deliveries must be completed within 48 hours of the order, while emergency deliveries may be required within 12 hours. Bidders must submit a Bid Signature Form and a Bid Pricing Form by October 7, 2026, via the Bonfire portal, mail, or hand delivery. All provided aggregates must meet strict quality standards, such as being free of foreign debris and maintaining specific moisture and sieve retention levels; non-conforming materials will be rejected at the contractor's expense. The contractor is required to provide electronic weight tickets upon delivery and must include Safety Data Sheets where applicable. Payment terms are Net 30, and the contractor must maintain required insurance coverages and comply with Texas state laws, including the energy company boycott verification and non-discrimination requirements.
