Air Handling Shortfall - NYHAFL

The project involves a comprehensive overhaul of the air handling system on the third floor of the Microbiology Branch at NYHAFL to transition from positive to negative pressure environments due to the handling of hazardous pathogens. This includes the removal of existing HEPA filters at each radial diffuser, installation of new air pressure monitoring systems, and upgrades to the central controls to ensure safe and reliable operation. The work is being executed by engineers from AKF, with direct collaboration and oversight from OFMS, NYHAFL, NYMPL, and HINES Building Management to ensure technical accuracy and regulatory compliance.
