The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) has a requirement to provide American Sign Language (ASL), Langue des Signes Québécoise (LSQ) and Deaf Interpretation services to offenders for Parole Board Canada hearings, medical or mental health assessments, as well as other meetings between offenders and CSC staff or contractors. To provide multiple resources (interpreters) to assist with consecutive and simultaneous Interpretation Services in-person, by teleconference and virtually through video in the Ontario Region. A minimum of three (3) Interpreters including: one (1) American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter, one (1) Langue des Signes Québécoise (LSQ) interpreter, and one (1) Deaf Interpreter must be available at all times.
