Annual Maintenance

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) intends to issue a sole source firm-fixed price purchase order for the purchase of to XyEnterprise Inc. The period of performance will be one year from the date of award. The proposed acquisition consists of the following Contract Line Items Numbers (CLINs): CLIN 0001: (Quantity 1 Unit) Annual Maintenance for Link Author software that interfaces with Epic Editor environment. POP: 09/30/2012 to 09/29/2013 CLIN0002: (Quantity3 Units) Purchase of additional software licenses for Link Author. 1 copy each for Development, Testing and Disaster Recovery. Delivery date: 09/30/2012 This purchase order will be made on a sole source basis under the authorityof FAR Part 6.302-1 (a) - only one responsible source and no other supplies orservices will satisfy agency requirements. The sole source rationale for this action is that XyEnterprise is the creator and maintainer of SDL Link Author software. XyEnterprise is the sole distributor as well as sole provider of customer support and help desk services. SDL/XyEnterprise is also the only company that has the ability to modify the proprietary source code. The IRS Media and Publications organization has been using XyEnterprise's Link Author software for many years and requires software maintenance for the product. The IRS requires real-time online service requests management including open case review, lifetime case retrieval, and new case initiation and unlimited service case entitlement to research and/or open new requests. Any responsible sources who believe they can provide the required products and service may submit a written capability statement, via email, by12 pm ET on September 26, 2012. Telephone inquiries will be considered non-responsive. Nos olicitation will be issued. If no responses are received the award will be made to XyEnterprises Inc.
