Annual Tree Pruning & Removal Services

The City of Lakeland is seeking a qualified tree trimming contractor under solicitation 2026-RFP-122 to provide labor, supervision, and equipment for pruning and removing trees and palms within city rights-of-way, parks, and other designated areas. The scope includes working in close proximity to energized power lines and requires crews consisting of one crew leader and two groundsmen, all of whom must be trained in traffic control and aerial rescue procedures. The contract is firm through September 30, 2027, with an option for four one-year renewals upon mutual consent. Award decisions will be based on a points-based system considering the proposer's location, experience with at least ten similar projects in the last three years, and technical qualifications. Payment is rendered weekly based on quoted hourly rates for labor and equipment, including aerial lifts and chippers.
