Full Description

The Naval Air Systems Command Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Patuxent River, Maryland has a requirement for: M-ANSYS2 ANSYS Mechanical TEC Renewal Item 1 P-ANSYS78 ANSYS Design Modeler Software Item 2 M-ANSYS155 ANSYS Design Modeler TEC New Item 3 Contractor shall provide the ANSYS lease license for 3 ANSYS Mechanical licenses, 2 Design Modeler licenses, and TECS for the time period from 10/1/2010 - 9/30/2011. This service provides the latest software revisions, software performance problem corrections, hotline technical support, machine switching updated documentation, and Class 3 error reporting. NAWCAD intends to negotiate solely with Mallet Technology, Inc., for the above listed services with an anticipated award date of 30 September 2010. Mallet Technology, Inc distributes and provides technical support for the ANSYS software in the Mid-Atlantic States under an exclusive agreement with ANSYS, Inc. There are many unique aspects of this software for running it (some patented, some trade secrets), which must be supported via the maintenance renewal process. This software is being purchased via the GSA contract GS-35F-0639N. See attached Sole Source Justification for further information. POP will be 10/1/2010 - 9/30/2011. Place of Performance: NAVAIR 22195 ELMER ROAD PATUXENT RIVER MD 20670 All responsible sources may submit a capabilities statement, which shall be considered by the agency. The Government solely for the purpose of determining whether to initiate a competitive procurement will consider all capabilities statements received. Technical capability will be determined solely on the content and merit of the information submitted in response to this provision. Therefore, it is incumbent on the interested party to provide sufficient technical literature, documentation, etc. in order for the Government to make an adequate technical assessment. The Government reserves the right to process the procurement on a sole source basis for this service based upon the responses received. The Government will not pay for any information received.
