Antelope Valley Public Landfill Expansion

The City of Palmdale has approved Modification 24-0024 for the expansion and reconfiguration of the Antelope Valley Recycling and Disposal Facility. Located at 1200 West City Ranch Road in Los Angeles County, the project will increase the facility's size from 185 acres to 351 acres. This expansion involves several Assessor Parcel Numbers, including 3004-012-003, 3004-012-018, 3004-012-023, 3004-013-014, 3004-013-015, and 3004-015-004. The project was approved on November 13, 2025, following the preparation of an Environmental Impact Report in accordance with CEQA provisions. This process included minor alterations to the previously adopted Environmental Impact Report SCH No. 1990010988. As a condition of approval, the City of Palmdale has mandated specific mitigation measures and adopted a mitigation reporting and monitoring plan to ensure the project does not have a significant environmental effect.
