Provide virtual professional learning (digital modules) for Advanced Placement (AP) teachers systemwide. DoDEA offers over 30 AP courses systemwide and the number of students enrolled in AP courses is slowly but steadily rising. There has been little correlation between grades students receive in their AP courses and their scores on the AP examination. DoDEA has provided professional learning to new teachers of AP classes. New AP teachers attend a College Board-endorsed institute or course to obtain initial endorsement. Additional professional learning is facilitated by AP and content specialists. However, DoDEA has never utilized digital modules to provide AP professional learning.
