AP Social Studies Curriculum Adoption: AP World History: Modern

Mesa Public Schools is seeking proposals for the adoption of comprehensive core instructional resources for the AP World History: Modern curriculum. The objective is to acquire materials that align with the College Board AP Course and Exam Description and Arizona Social Studies Standards, focusing on disciplinary knowledge, inquiry-based literacy, and assessment skills. The award will be granted to the proposal deemed most advantageous to the District based on a phased evaluation process. This process begins with non-negotiable pass/fail criteria, followed by a weighted evaluation of alignment to standards, accessibility and differentiation supports, and the quality of onboarding and implementation assistance. Vendors must provide a minimum of 60 calendar days of fully functional demonstration access for district evaluation. The contract features an initial term of one calendar year with the possibility of four consecutive 12-month extensions. Proposals must include all-inclusive pricing for both five-year and seven-year periods. Key administrative requirements include compliance with various data privacy laws such as FERPA, COPPA, and GDPR, as well as adherence to the Davis-Bacon Act and the Build America, Buy America Act. Payments are set at net thirty days upon receipt of an invoice and require a current IRS W-9 form. The response deadline is November 10, 2026, and all submissions must be filed electronically through the district's procurement portal.
