The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) has issued Broad Agency Announcement DOIDSAM27G002 to establish partnerships for the acquisition of high-resolution 3D elevation and hydrography mapping data. This initiative, known as the 3D National Topography Model (3DNTM) Data Collaboration Announcement, is divided into two primary opportunities: the 3D Elevation Program (3DEP) for lidar data and the 3D Hydrography Program (3DHP). These partnerships leverage the USGS Geospatial Products and Services Contract (GPSC) to provide critical data supporting infrastructure planning, energy development, mineral discovery, and disaster response. Eligible applicants include federal agencies, state and local governments, tribes, academic institutions, and the private sector, though GPSC contractors and subcontractors are explicitly excluded.
