AI Contract Overview
This Justification and Approval for Other Than Full and Open Competition authorizes a ceiling increase for six incumbent Architecture and Engineering IDIQ contracts at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, under solicitation FA860123R0004. The action adds 2.0 million dollars to each of the six contracts, totaling a 12.0 million dollar increase, to ensure uninterrupted support for multi-discipline projects from fiscal year 2023 through fiscal year 2028. The scope of work includes site visits, field investigations, planning studies, design and economic analysis, construction drawings, building code and fire protection analysis, hazardous material surveys, and detailed cost estimates. Managed by the Department of the Air Force AFLCMC PZIO, this increase is necessary to address mission urgency and increasing Facilities Sustainment, Restoration, and Modernization funding. The decision to utilize the existing contractors is based on the impracticality of transitioning to new vehicles before the scheduled follow-on competition in 2028. The services are categorized under NAICS code 5413 and are essential for maintaining critical infrastructure and emergent requirements at the installation.
