Specifically, the Navy is seeking to understand the current state of private industry related to the following key areas:

Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) with Time of Flight Diffraction (ToFD): Assessing private sector capability and capacity to support Navy requirements, particularly for inspections where current organic capacity is insufficient to meet demand.  Participants are advised to review general Navy requirements in Enclosure (1).

  1. PAUT Procedure Development & Qualification for Structural Applications: Seeking industry partners to help develop and qualify PAUT inspection procedures for various structural applications in accordance with Navy technical publications and standards found in Enclosure (1).

Data Architecture for NDT: Exploring the development of a seamless digital data architecture for NDT records to support efforts in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and create a digital framework for future expansion.
