THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS ONLY. This Request for Information (RFI) is for planning and informational purposes only and shall not be considered as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of contractor submission of responses to this RFI or the Government's use of such information. The Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any contractor's input resulting from this RFI. No contract will be awarded from this announcement. The prisoners are housed in local detention facilities located throughout the 50 states. The attached sample statement of work is an example of typical guard service requirements. 2.3 PURPOSE OF REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) The United States Marshals Service (USMS) is seeking information for the purpose of identifying the availability of potential sources capable of providing armed guard services in the Eastern District of Virginia. A sample statement of work describing the required services is attached. 2.4 DESCRIPTION OF INFORMATION REQUESTED Vendors offering armed guard services are invited to address the following items: - Provide a capability statement addressing your company's ability to provide the armed guard and related services as specified in the attached statement of work. - Is your company licensed to provide guard services in the Commonwealth of Virginia? - Describe your firms' socioeconomic classification (i.e. large business, small business, HUBZone, 8(a) small disadvantaged business, woman-owned small business, etc).
