ASA shower and commode

The contract entails the complete renovation of a shower and commode area in a 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom brick home with a slab-on-grade foundation and shingle roof, totaling approximately 1800 square feet. All existing plumbing fixtures must be removed and replaced, including installation of a new low-entry shower base and surround made from Swan-Stone or an equivalent material with a minimum thickness of 1/4 inch; FRP is prohibited. The shower must include a Delta or comparable handle and mixing valve, two ADA-compliant adjustable grab bars, an adjustable handheld shower faucet with its own guide rod separate from the grab bars, and a portable shower seat. The existing toilet, which has a malfunctioning flush mechanism, must be replaced with a new ADA comfort height model along with a new wax ring, shut-off valve, and supply line. Necessary repairs to the drain or flange must be made to resolve the slow-flushing issue, while ensuring all other fixtures continue to drain properly. All associated drywall, trim, subflooring, finish flooring, and painting necessary to complete the work must be repaired or replaced. All work must comply with the 2019 International Residential Code and require all applicable licenses, permits, and line locates to be secured by the contractor. Prospective bidders are required to conduct a site visit prior to submission, and no change orders will be permitted for conditions that could have been observed during that visit. The contractor is responsible for accurate material measurements, full cleanup, removal of all debris, and restoration of the yard to mowing condition. Color selections for finishes are to be determined by the homeowner or property manager. The project is managed by the Choctaw Nation Housing Authority in Poteau, Oklahoma, with final bids due by August 11, 2026.
