The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has awarded a contract to Quarterwave Corporation, Rohnert Park, CA for the production of Power Supply Modulators (PSM) model 1764 for the Airport Surface Detection Equipment (ASDE)-3 radar system. The contract was awarded as a one-time, fixed price contract.



The Model 1764 PSM is a custom unit originally designed by Quarterwave Corporation as part of the ASDE-3 system. Quarterwave is the only approved manufacturer for the PSM at this time. 



Market analysis supported a single source award to Quarterwave. Additionally, a Notice of Intent to Single Source (6973GH-26-R-00153) was posted to the SAM.gov web site on June 9, 2026.
