AT&T is proposing the Tuolumne 1C Project to deploy a Fiber-to-the-Premises network in Tuolumne County, California, primarily serving the communities of Sonora and Jamestown. The project involves constructing approximately 54 miles of fiber optic cable, with 44 miles installed aerially along existing utility poles and conduit, and 10 miles buried underground within existing rights-of-way and limited private utility easements. The network will be centered around a single central office with no remote terminals, ensuring a fully fiber-based infrastructure designed to deliver reliable broadband to households and enhance public safety. The project is expected to span 18 months and will leverage major roadways including Highway 108 and Highway 49 for alignment and access.
