The Correctional Service Canada (CSC) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) seeking industry feedback on audio-video redaction software to support its Access to Information and Privacy (ATIP) department in processing files under the Privacy Act and Access to Information Act. The primary goals of this RFI are to notify industry about the upcoming need, explore available solutions and approaches that meet CSC’s requirements, and gather insights on licensing cost ranges to inform future funding, though cost proposals will not be evaluated or scored. Additionally, CSC aims to obtain feedback on a preliminary statement of work to better align its expectations with industry capabilities. It is important to note that this RFI is for informational purposes only and does not constitute a call for tender, a request for proposals, or any commitment by the Government of Canada to contract or initiate work. Industry participants are invited to review the full RFI document available through the Canada Buys website and may respond in either official language of Canada. Responses are to be submitted by May 25, 2026. The designated contact for this solicitation is Diana Todorova, who can be reached via email or telephone for any inquiries. This process is intended solely to gather market intelligence and refine CSC’s approach before any formal procurement steps are undertaken.
