Full Description
This NOTICE OF INTENT is for the procurement of Automated Scanning System from NDT Solutions for U.S. Navy customers. This contract will be in support of the Air Systems Group, Material Engineering Division, Nondestructive Inspection (NDI) Branch. This requirement is to develop software suite to aid NDI level IIIs using artificial intelligence/machine learning collected from phased array ultrasonic (AUSS Mobile) in the detection, sizing, and characterization of defects during ultrasonic inspections of composite bond lines. This effort will focus on MQ-4C NDI phase inspections.. This requirement is advertised as SOLE SOURCE.
The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price contract, on a sole source basis, to NDT Solutions (NDTS), 10-1 Airport Road, New Richmond, WI 54017, USA for this procurement. The statutory authority permitting other than Full and Open Competition is USC 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The procedures of FAR Part 12 and 13.5 will be utilized for this commercial acquisition.
