Automated Zebrafish Egg Microinjection System|Sole Source|Procurement

Oregon State University intends to contract for the provision of a automated zebrafish egg microinjection system from Objective Biotechnology as a sole source because of the uniqueness (design, capability, nature) of the goods and/or services and the contractor being the single provide of the goods and/or services. The selected system must meet several minimum requirements essential to SARL's research needs. The autoinjector must utilize computer vision and machine learning to automate embryo identification and injection, achieve a throughput of at least 300 egg injections per hour, maintain a miss rate below 10%, maintain an egg damage rate below 5%, automatically identify and remove uninjected or damaged eggs, and include manufacturer-supplied injection needles that eliminate the need for researchers to produce custom needles in-house.
