SeaBird Scientific Instrument Service and Calibration|Sole Source|Procurement

Oregon State University intends to contract for the provision of proprietary instrument services from Seabird Scientific as a sole source because of the contractor being the single provide of the goods and/or services. An entity may challenge this determination no later than the closing date indicated on the website. The selected supplier must possess the proprietary intellectual property, technical knowledge, calibration procedures, software, and service capabilities required to maintain and recalibrate SeaBird-manufactured instruments. These instruments require periodic service to ensure data quality and continued operation, and servicing them requires access to intellectual property owned exclusively by SeaBird Scientific.
