The Department of the Navy, through the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific (SSC Pacific), is seeking to acquire technical services for the research, development, test, evaluation, and support of autonomous and unmanned systems across multiple operational domains such as air, land, sea surface, undersea, and space. This effort covers a comprehensive range of activities including prototyping, analysis, architecture design, engineering, systems integration, software development, and logistics support. The goal is to advance capabilities in autonomous and unmanned systems by examining their functionality, interoperability, and deployment at tactical, operational, and strategic levels, incorporating the latest enabling technologies. The procurement will be conducted under an Other Transaction Agreement with an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) multiple award cost-plus-fixed-fee (CPFF) contract structure. An Industry Day was held on July 21, 2011, to provide potential contractors with detailed information, including presentations, attendee lists, and a question and answer session. Two draft versions of the Statement of Work, which outline the scope of autonomous systems prototyping and support efforts, are available for review on the SPAWAR E-Commerce Central website. The contract includes tasks such as operational exercise design, concept development, feasibility demonstrations, hardware acquisition, and operational support, focusing on both prototyping new systems and supporting existing autonomous/unmanned system capabilities. Questions related to this acquisition can be directed to the designated contracting officer.
