The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Armament Directorate at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, is utilizing the Armament Directorate Rapid Response Commercial Solutions Opening for Innovative Execution as an umbrella competitive solicitation to acquire innovative commercial products, technologies, and services. This vehicle, governed by 10 U.S.C. 3458 and DFARS Subpart 212.70, is designed to rapidly develop novel weapons capabilities through the use of digital engineering, agile software, and open system architectures. Technical areas of interest include digital engineering and modeling, software infrastructure such as DevSecOps pipelines, and hardware design and testing. Past and current Spirals have addressed programs such as the ERAM program, Lugged Affordable Cruise Missile, Counter-Air Missile Program, and the Family of Affordable Mass Missiles Beyond Adversary Reach. Proposals are evaluated based on technical merit, importance to agency programs, and funds availability, with price assessed to ensure it is fair and reasonable. Award eligibility requires registration in the System for Award Management and the Wide Area Workflow system for milestone-based invoicing.
