The contract pertains to the Joint Command and Control Capability (JCC(X)) Studies and Analyses, specifically focusing on Early Industry Involvement (EII) workshops scheduled for March 19-21, 2002, at the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Carderock, Maryland. Attendees must be U.S. citizens due to security regulations, and registration is strictly via email, requiring specific personal and company information along with justification for attendance. The workshops exclude phone registrations, and deadlines for sign-up close ten working days prior to each session. Additional workshop details, including agendas and security clearance requirements, are available on a restricted-access JCC(X) industry website, which requires a formal access request citing Trey Austin as the point of contact. While the workshops generally avoid confidential discussions, two specific study topics—Survivability and Information Operations/Information Assurance—demand a classified environment due to their sensitive content. Access to the classified session on March 21, 2002, requires U.S. citizenship, a Secret Security Clearance, and submission of an official visit request to NSWC via PMS377, coordinated through Trey Austin. Attendees must provide comprehensive security information and present photo identification for workshop entry. The classified segment allows a classified addendum to otherwise unclassified reports and presentations, facilitating open dialogue on sensitive matters. Complete agendas and further instructions are provided on the secure JCC(X) industry website.
