Full Description

The Chattahoochee River Trail was included in the 2018 Cobb County Greenways & Trails Master Plan as a priority project and detailed in the Chattahoochee RiverLands Greenway Study, a regional river corridor plan for the 100-mile Chattahoochee River corridor. One task of this study was to develop a pilot project conceptual plan for a multi-use path on Cobb County-owned property between SR 139/Mableton Parkway and SR 8/US 278/Veterans Memorial Highway. The conceptual plan was adopted by the Cobb County Board of Commissioners on June 23, 2020 and provides unprecedented access to the portion of the Chattahoochee River south of I-285, giving people the opportunity to see, interact with, and experience nature in a new and unique way, while also serving as a model for implementation of future RiverLand segments. Phase II of the subject project proposes to provide paved paths for shared use by pedestrians and bicycles along the Chattahoochee River between SR 139/Mableton Parkway and Nickajack Creek. In addition, this phase includes a bridge over a small creek at the southern end of the project and boardwalks over environmentally sensitive areas. The logical termini will be SR 139/Mableton Parkway at Lee Industrial Boulevard on the southern end, where it will connect to an existing 10- foot wide shared-use path, and Nickajack Creek on the northern end. Nickajack Creek is also the southern terminus for Phase I.

Solicitation # 6982AF25B000004
The ND NP THRO 204(1) Buck Hill Road project, managed by the Department of Transportation's Central Federal Lands Division, involves comprehensive roadway rehabilitation and landslide stabilization within Theodore Roosevelt National Park in Billings County, North Dakota. The scope of work is divided into three primary components: the rehabilitation of approximately three quarters of a mile of roadway including pulverization, new aggregate, hot asphalt concrete pavement, and guardrail replacement; the stabilization of a landslide through deep subexcavation of 1,000 linear feet to a depth of 10 feet with geosynthetic reinforcement and subsurface drainage; and the reconstruction and expansion of the Buck Hill Overlook parking lot to accommodate larger vehicles and tour buses. The parking area improvements include new pavement, accessible parking, concrete sidewalks, curb and gutter, and the installation of stone benches and trash receptacles. This project is designated as a Full and Open Competition with a HUBZone set-aside, with an estimated cost range between 5 million and 10 million dollars. Key project requirements include the presence of a Paleontological Monitor during all ground-disturbing activities, though the contractor is permitted to close Buck Hill Road for the duration of construction. The anticipated schedule includes advertisement in October 2026, award in January 2027, and construction running from April through November 2027. Bidders are required to bid the plans as provided, although the successful contractor may submit value engineering proposals for evaluation following the award. Major work items include 11,000 cubic yards of subexcavation, 2,000 tons of hot asphalt concrete, 5,000 tons of roadway aggregate, and over 5,000 linear feet of concrete curb and gutter.
