AI Contract Overview
The 9th Contracting Squadron at Beale Air Force Base, California, is conducting market research to identify qualified vendors capable of providing comprehensive linen services under a future solicitation. This sources-sought announcement is not a solicitation for bids or a commitment to award a contract but is intended to gather information on industry capabilities, interest, and pricing expectations for laundry and linen support services at specified locations on the base. Respondents are asked to submit company details including name, address, CAGE code, UEI number, point of contact information, and socio-economic status such as whether they are a small business, HUBZone, 8(a), SDVOSB, or WOSB. Vendors must provide a capabilities statement confirming their experience in performing all tasks outlined in the Performance Work Statement, including pickup and delivery of soiled and clean linens, industrial laundering and finishing, compliance with strict packaging and labeling standards, and adherence to health and safety regulations. The solicitation suggests NAICS code 812332 for industrial launderers and PSC S209 for housekeeping laundry services and requests confirmation or proposed alternatives. A rough order of magnitude cost estimate is also required using the proposed CLIN structure with a 53-week base period and a 26-week option extension, though no pricing data is currently available. Contract performance must satisfy stringent operational requirements including weekly pickups and deliveries between 0700 and 1500 PST on scheduled days, with all clean linens returned within seven weekdays. All items must be properly finished, labeled with method-of-finish codes such as WP, WK, PB, and WDF, and packaged by type, color, and size to meet government standards. Equipment, labor, and transportation must be fully furnished by the contractor, with strict compliance required for contamination prevention, moisture control, and separation of government items. Delivery occurs at multiple locations on base including Buildings 11177, 2469, 1069, and 1075. Contractors must comply with base access rules, including prior submission of employee information on an Entry Authorization List, proper identification badges, vehicle passes, adherence to traffic and weapons policies, and immediate surrender of any For Official Use Only materials found on site. Emergency service within 24 hours is required up to twice annually, and all personnel must be cleared for base access at least eight days in advance. Responses must be submitted via email to Teresa Romig and Jacob Duderstadt no
