Bear Creek Bridge Replacement (Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. CAL-67928-R2)

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification Number CAL-67928-R2 for the replacement of a bridge over Bear Creek on Stockton Box Road in Calaveras County, California. The project, involving applicant Barbara Schirato, is conducted pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code and is exempt under California Code of Regulations Title 14. The scope of work includes the removal of existing concrete footings from the banks and eroding concrete from the creek channel, followed by the installation of a new 40-foot span bridge aligned perpendicular to the creek. The new bridge structure is engineered to support equipment weighing 135,000 pounds and must maintain specific channel dimensions, with the Bear Creek channel measuring 12 feet wide at the creek, 23 feet wide at the bottom of the bridge, and 11 feet tall.
