Bill Presentment (Electronic and Traditional) Solution and I

The City of Columbus Department of Public Utilities has issued a request for proposals to implement a comprehensive billing and customer service solution, including Oracle Customer Cloud Service (CCS), Oracle Field Service (OFS), a Customer Self-Service Portal, Electronic and Traditional Bill Presentment, and a Batch Scheduler. RCC Global, LLC has been selected as the System Integrator to lead the implementation, providing all necessary services to ensure the successful deployment of these systems. The selected proposer will act as a sub-consultant to RCC Global, delivering implementation services and coordinating with the DPU to align the rollout of all solutions for a simultaneous Go-Live. The contract emphasizes that the proposer will directly engage with DPU for licensing, ongoing maintenance, and support, while the implementation services are to be provided under the sub-contract with RCC Global. The project, valued between five and fifteen million dollars, is part of a broader effort to modernize the utility’s customer engagement and billing processes. The DPU prefers the solution provider to also serve as the implementer but remains open to alternative arrangements. Responses to the solicitation are to be submitted via the Bonfire platform by October 18, 2024. The initiative is part of Ohio’s Department of Public Utilities’ efforts to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency through integrated cloud-based solutions.
