Full Description
We expect to acquire seven new BSCs according to our specifications. The Contractor shall provide seven (7) biosafety cabinets consisting of:
• One (1) 6-foot wide unit
• Six (6) 4-foot wide units
All BSCs are expected to meet certification standards (NSF/ANSI 49) upon delivery.
Deliverables
The following are the requirements that should be met at the minimum:
• Class II: Protects personnel, environment, and product (samples). The most common type, offering sterile conditions, ideal for BSL-1 through BSL-3.
• Units shall be available in unit widths of 6 ft (one unit) and 4 ft (six units)
• Units must meet the performance requirements of NSF/ANSI 49.
• Units shall have supply HEPA filters 99.99% efficient at a particle size of 0.3 micron by DOP test and shall be of full cabinet work zone width and depth.
• Units shall have exhaust HEPA filters 99.99% efficient at a particle size of 0.3 microns by DOP test
• Units shall be constructed from 16 or 18 gauge Type 304 stainless steel, forming a monolithic, sealed structure.
• Units shall possess a height adjustable base stand such that workspace height can be adjusted from at least 30 to 36 inches.
• Units’ power shall be supplied with a minimum 12-foot (2.5m) grounded electrical cable. Electrical supply should be 115 VAC, 60 Hz.
• Units shall be easily transportable through a 40 inch (1016 mm) wide, 83 in (2108 mm) tall door without disassembly.
• Units shall come standard with two outlets with drip proof covers; one gas valve/service coupling on right side wall; one service coupling on right side wall; two service couplings on left side wall.
• Units shall be capable of front filter removal without disassembly of the control panel and sliding window tracks/hardware.
• Units shall feature a sliding viewing window that operates smoothly from full closure to full opening at 20 inches.
• Units shall have a working access height of 10 inches.
• Units shall feature a non-metallic armrest/airfoil incorporating an at least 2 inch (51mm) forearm support area.
• Units shall feature an audible alarm and flashing LED to warn of an unsafe viewscreen position. The units will also signal power loss with visual and audible alarms
• Units shall include base stand with work surface height between 25 and 35 in
• Units shall include an ultraviolet (UV) light fixture.
• Units shall be warranted for parts and labor for at least 60 months from the date of acceptance.
• Pricing shall include shipping cost.
