School District No. 43 (Coquitlam) is seeking a single qualified service provider for the supply, delivery, installation, repair, maintenance, and replacement of commercial-grade blinds, window coverings, and window film systems across its facilities on an as-needed basis. The scope includes a wide range of products such as vertical, horizontal, roller, solar, blackout, dual, cellular, and motorized shades, as well as privacy and solar control films. The selected provider must be capable of performing routine site inspections within two business days and responding to emergencies within 24 hours. Major installations are preferred during evenings, weekends, or school breaks to minimize educational disruptions. The contract is awarded based on best value, evaluated through a three-stage process involving mandatory criteria, a weighted scoring system totaling 150 points, and reference checks. Successful proponents must provide firm pricing for an initial three-year term and maintain comprehensive insurance, including at least two million dollars in general and automobile liability coverage. Additionally, the provider must act as the Designated Prime Contractor, ensuring full compliance with WorkSafeBC and provincial health and safety regulations. All products must be commercial-grade and CSA-approved, with window film installations performed by authorized installers to ensure a defect-free finish.
