SALE ADVERTISEMENTBondarenko 25/26 Salvage Sale The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Florida Forest Service is seeking sealed bids for the sale of timber. This is a per unit sale on approximately 414 acres that includes salvage and green pine timber within Belmore State Forest, located in Clay County, Florida (see attached location map). There will be three harvest types: salvage clear-cut, green clear-cut, and green operator select thinning (thinning from below). The areas to be clear-cut include approximately 261 acres of salvage pine timber and 34 acres of green pine timber. The operator select thinning area consists of 119 acres of green pine timber. Timber to be removed from the operator select thinning area include diseased, damaged, defective, forked, and suppressed trees; followed by a portion of the intermediate and co-dominant trees to reach the desired basal area of 50-60 square feet per acre. Leave trees should be evenly spaced throughout the sale area. Sale boundaries are roads, fire lines, and trees marked with blue paint. All trees marked with blue paint are to be harvested. The Forester-in-Charge shall approve of any skid trails and loading decks. This sale has a rough estimated volume of 5,656 tons of salvage pine pulpwood, 15,423 tons of salvage pine chip-n-saw and better, 2,749 tons of green pine pulpwood, and 6,437 tons of green pine chip-n-saw and better. Harvesting operations must start within two (2) weeks of contract execution and salvage timber must be harvested first. The length of the agreement will be six (6) months.
