General. This Sources Sought is issued for informational and market research purposes only. It is not a Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quotation (RFQ), Invitation for Bid (IFB), or a solicitation under FAR Subpart 5.2.



The purpose of this Sources Sought is to obtain information regarding industry interest, capabilities, and qualifications so the Government can make informed acquisition decisions. We encourage responses from both large and small businesses, including Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, 8(a) firms, HUBZone firms, Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB), Economically Disadvantaged Woman-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), and Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB). Responses to this Sources Sought will be used by the Government to support market research, assess available sources, and inform any future solicitation.

The US Army Corps of Engineers – Portland District has a requirement to solicit supply and delivery of spare sections of Ultrahigh Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMW-PE) fabricated into antenna skid caps for the Bonneville (BON) Passive Interrogation Transponder (PIT) Ice and Trash Sluiceway (ITS) Shield as identified in this Purchase Description (PD). See Attachment 1A for photo of BON PIT ITS Shield with antenna skid caps. Fabricate and deliver the UHMW-PE skid caps in accordance with the terms of the contract as defined in the Purchase Description and comply with all local, state, and federal regulations.



Scope:


Contractor must fabricate antenna skid caps as specified in the drawings provided in Attachment 2 - Reference Drawings. Submit shop drawings of amendments for Government acceptance. Show complete details of materials, tolerances, and connections on the shop drawings. Include catalog cuts, templates, fabrication and assembly details, and type, grade, and class of materials, as appropriate in the shop drawings. Provide a table containing a list of all members and a reference to each material certificate and test report that applies to that member.
