AI Contract Overview
This contract is for the procurement of 157 right-hand shoe-type brakes with NSN 2530-00-730-7621 under solicitation SPE7LX-26-U-9289, issued by the Department of Defense’s Strategic AcQ Program Directorate. The solicitation is a total small business set-aside under NAICS code 336340 with a response deadline of August 20, 2026, and a delivery requirement of 75 days after contract award. The technical and quality specifications are governed by the DLA Master List of Technical and Quality Requirements, with revisions effective as of the solicitation issue date applying to this simplified acquisition. The item must comply with all DLA packaging standards and is subject to strict prohibitions against the use of Class I ozone-depleting chemicals, which override any conflicting specification requirements unless explicitly authorized. Any substitute chemicals require prior approval. The technical data associated with this brake assembly is subject to export control under either ITAR or EAR, restricting disclosure to foreign persons regardless of location and requiring compliance with DFARS 252.225-7048. Access to this controlled data is limited to contractors who hold an approved US/Canada Joint Certification Program status, have completed mandatory DOD export control training and the DLA questionnaire, and have been formally authorized by DLA. Removal of government identification from non-accepted supplies is mandatory, and all deliveries must meet these stringent compliance conditions. The point of contact for inquiries is Theodore Misiolek, with additional information available via the DIBBS portal.
