Full Description

1.1 Scope: The City of Columbus, Department of Public Service is receiving proposals until September 30, 2026 at 10:00 A.M. local time, for professional services for the Bridge Rehabilitation – Parsons Avenue Bridge Replacement RFP. Proposals are being received electronically by the Department of Public Service, Office of Support Services via Bonfire at https://columbus.bonfirehub.com/login. This project consists of replacement of the Parsons Avenue Bridge over Norfolk Southern railroad between Groveport Road and Hosack Street. Reconstruction of the approach embankment and retaining walls will be included in the project. The contract will be divided into two parts. Part one will be the preliminary engineering phase to evaluate structure type, MOT alternatives, and retaining wall alternatives. Part two, which will be authorized later in the project, will be for detailed design of the project. All questions concerning the RFP are to be sent to capitalprojects@columbus.gov. The last day to submit questions will be specified in the RFP; phone calls will not be accepted. Responses will be posted on Bonfire at https://columbus.bonfirehub.com/login as an addendum. A pre-proposal meeting will not be held. Notice of published addenda will be posted on the City’s Vendor Services web site and all addenda will be posted on Bonfire at https://columbus.bonfirehub.com/login. The selected Consultant shall attend a scope meeting anticipated to be held on/about two weeks after proposals are due. The projected scope date will be specified in the RFP. If the Project Manager is not available, the Consultant may designate an alternate to attend in their place. 1.2 Classification: All proposal documents (Request for Proposal, reference documents, addenda, etc.) will be available for review and download on Bonfire at https://columbus.bonfirehub.com/login after the RFP is advertised.
