BRUNSWICK FACTORY REDEVELOPMENT

The City of Torrington is seeking development companies and real estate investors for a transformative redevelopment project at the former Brunswick Factory site located at 535 Migeon Avenue. This initiative aims to create a vibrant mixed-use and mixed-income community through a public-private partnership that will leverage city and state financial resources. The redevelopment will focus on revitalizing the property situated along the Naugatuck River and Route 4, with the city welcoming visionary partners capable of contributing to the area’s economic and community growth. Interested parties must submit their expressed interest by July 22, 2026, at 11:00 AM, with a mandatory site walk-through scheduled for July 8, 2026, and a deadline for submitting questions on July 15, 2026. Proposals must be submitted in person or by mail, as faxed or emailed proposals are not accepted. The city will not allow bids to be withdrawn for 90 days following submission and reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive technicalities, and award the contract to the proposal deemed to best serve the public interest, regardless of cost.
