The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to issue solicitation N00024-03-R-5451 to Raytheon Systems Company (RSC) of Tucson, Arizona for procurement of FY 04/05/06 Design Agent Engineering Service requirements in support of the Rolling Airframe Missile (RAM), the SEARAM and the Phalanx Close-In Weapon System (CIWS). The effort includes technical and engineering services required to maintain current weapon system capability as well as resolve design issues through design, systems, software maintenance, reliability, maintainability, quality assurance and logistics engineering services. RSC is the qualified producer of the RAM, SEARAM and Phalanx Weapon Systems and the only known source that currently possesses the requisite knowledge and expertise required to satisfactory meet fleet requirements.
